Dr Nikos Tsorakidis (Associate Professor of Finance) holds a PhD in Finance from Aston University, UK. He has significant experience in senior academic management in international education.
He is currently Deputy Vice-President for External Engagement and Partnerships, Business Administration and Economics Department, City College, University of York Europe campus. Previously he served as MBA Director at Hult International Business School, London Campus and also led the succesful establishment of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David London Campus.
On top of his main academic role, for over 10 years Nikos has been running a successful summer study abroad programme in London for leading US universities involving undergraduate students and many US professors. The aim of the programme is to expose students to international business practices, British life and culture, and enhance professional skills and employability.
Nikos has extensive contacts with educational institutions across the world, notably in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, South-East Asia, the Former Soviet Union, the Indian subcontinent, and the USA. His activities have led to students from all these locations coming to the U.K. to undertake higher education studies.
He is also invloved in the Tourism industry. In 2008 he co-founded Omegasail, a leading yacht charter company operating in Greece.
